Nickel is a crucial raw material in stainless steel production, enhancing corrosion resistance, strength, and durability. It forms part of various stainless steel grades, particularly austenitic types, ensuring the alloy’s flexibility and performance in harsh environments. Nickel’s role is essential in producing high-quality, long-lasting stainless steel products.
Ferro-nickel is a vital alloy in stainless steel production, combining iron and nickel to enhance corrosion resistance, toughness, and durability. Primarily used in austenitic stainless steels, ferro-nickel adds strength and heat resistance, ensuring high performance in industrial applications. It’s a cost-effective source of nickel for quality steel production.
Stainless steel scrap serves as a cost-effective alternative to nickel in stainless steel production, sourced from obsolete applications and manufacturing offcuts. It comprises reclaimed scrap (25%) from end-of-life items and industrial scrap (35%) from production leftovers. Its recycling minimizes reliance on mined minerals, while advanced technology recovers valuable elements like chromium and molybdenum for reuse, supporting sustainable steelmaking.
Slabs are semi-finished steel products, crucial in manufacturing various steel items. Typically produced through casting or rolling, they serve as the foundation for processes like hot rolling and cold rolling. Slabs enable efficient production of flat products, including plates and sheets, and are essential for the construction and automotive industries.
Coke, produced from coking coal via high-temperature distillation without oxygen, is predominantly carbon and vital for blast furnace iron production. It serves as a heat source, chemical reducing agent, and structural support, ensuring furnace stability at elevated temperatures. We source Hard, Semi-Hard, and Semi-Soft coking coal, as well as Thermal Coal for coal-fired power generation.
